About PROfashion Awards `09
“We are here tonight not to award our advertisers, we are here to appreciate the leading fashion market players at their true value and to give every member of the Russian fashion business society an opportunity to communicate”, - those were the words of the editor-in-chief of PROfashion magazine Olesya Orlova who opened the awarding ceremony of PROfashion Awards. The awards became one of the most significant fashion industry events in Russia of the year 2009. On the 3rd of December owners and heads of the winning companies received the well-deserved rewards in 24 nominations:
Organizers of the awards, PROfashion magazine, are highly satisfied with the event. Success of the event was proved by the guests of the awarding ceremony. Fashion business professionals of the highest level attended the event: director of Benetton Russia Cecilia Pagotto, director of Intimissimi Russia Novio Gabriele, CEO of MaxMara Russia Gabriele Zambelli, representatives of Inditex Spain in Russia, head of Fashion department of ICE Russia Philippo Kovino, vice president of the company Mercury and fashion director of TSUM department store Alla Verber, development director of Bosco di Ciliegi Konstantin Andrikopulos, showroom Li-Lu owner Oksana Bondarenko, general producer of Russian Fashion Week Alexandr Shumsky, owner of the boutiques net LeForm Rodion Mamontov, owner of the concept store Cara&Co. Roza Kamenev, representatives of textile and fashion departments of the embassies of Austria, France, Portugal and Denmark and around 300 more representatives of fashion companies.
Organizers received gratitude words not only from the winners, but also from the ceremony guests who proved that the PROfashion Awards became a unique communication platform both for Russian and for international fashion business.
PROfashion Awards did not give anyone benefit of the doubt regarding its objectiveness. The winners were chosen by the jury, members of which are renowned fashion industry experts. Besides the jury had an opportunity to use the results of end consumers’ researches submitted by the leading research companies GfK Rus, Comcon, Qualitel Data Services.
The first PROfashion Awards proved to be success, a second one is ahead. PROfashion Awards – it is only a beginning.
